There are an infinite amount of things your student could do over spring break. One option your family has is to join us as we travel to Morelos, Mexico!
This trip is for parents and students!*
In Morelos we will be staying at an orphanage there that currently has 28 kids. During the week, families will have the opportunity to serve by doing:
-Light construction work
-Backyard Bible clubs
-Outreach to the neighborhoods surrounding the orphanage
-Love on the orphans and help the couple that runs the orphanage care for the kids during the week
-Worship and ministering to a Mexican church
Cost: $100 (This includes food, transportation, lodging at the orphanage, etc.)
*We can only take kids who are in 6th grade and up. No 5th grade kids and under can go with us this time.
Do I need a passport?
Answer: Yes, anyone 16 and older needs a passport. Anyone 15 and younger simply needs their original birth certificate and another valid form of I.D. to go. Get your passport soon as they normally can take 4-6 weeks to arrive!
How do I sign up?
Answer: Join this group and RSVP ‘yes’ to this event. Sign-up will end Sunday, March 4. After church on March 4 we will have a training/preparation meeting for the trip. Anyone planning on going on the trip needs to attend this meeting! We will then have another short training session on March 10 before we leave for Mexico.
I wish I could go, but I have to go to LA, so…
Are you looking only for families with children that age, or are you looking for additional support from other individual who would be willing to go?
We’re taking anyone who is interested!
